 Sheikh Maher Appointed as Khateeb for Eid Al-Adha at Masjid Al-Haram


The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques has announced the appointment of Sheikh Maher Al-Muaiqly as the Khateeb (sermon-giver) for the Eid Al-Adha prayer at Masjid Al-Haram in Mecca.



Sheikh Maher, known worldwide for his soulful Qur’anic recitation and impactful sermons, will deliver the Eid khutbah to millions of worshippers both in-person and via live broadcast. His appointment has been welcomed with great enthusiasm across the Muslim world.

Eid Al-Adha, one of the holiest days in Islam, marks the story of Prophet Ibrahim’s sacrifice and calls for reflection, unity, and devotion. The sermon at Masjid Al-Haram is considered especially significant, setting a spiritual tone for Muslims globally.
